Minecraft: Space Explorers
Program Description
Blast off into an epic Minecraft adventure! This 5-day camp lets you become a space agency leader, designing, building, and exploring the vastness of space. From constructing a launchpad to managing an astronaut crew on the International Space Station (ISS), you'll use Minecraft Education Edition to create your own space program!
This camp ignites your passion for space exploration, while developing valuable STEM skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and coding.
In this 5-days camp, our Jr. Architects will work in groups to plan and build their space program!
They will complete the following projects during this 5-days camp:
Day 1: Build a Launchpad Learn about the importance of a launchpad. Design and build a suitable launchpad for the rocket to launch off
Day 2: Rocket Build Understand NASA's space missions; design, build and launch a rocket for a crew in Minecraft based on a budget
Day 3: Seeing Earth from International Space Station (ISS) Recreate a specific landform on Earth in Minecraft
Day 4: Living in International Space Station (ISS) Explore what astronauts do in the ISS. Build facilities for astronauts to use in the ISS! Design and code your agents to build/replace the solar panels!
Day 5: Plants in Space? Can plants grow in space which does not have gravity? Design & build a space container to grow plants! Present your project with slides!
