During this 3 hour workshop, children will complete following projects

( * indicates that they can bring projects home): 

• Get Up Close!
  • Explorers will observe behavioural patterns behind this fascinating creature and discover how they help our environment.
• Design an Isopod Habitat!*
  • Explorers will carefully selecting appropriate materials to provide the perfect living environment for their new Isopod friend. 
• What Makes Isopods Happy:
  • Explorers will learn and understand the preferences of these creatures and learn how to best care for them!

Children will learn about the following science concepts:

Topics covered: 

A. Discover the fascinating world of isopods: Learn about their unique biology, behaviour, and vital role in the ecosystem.

B. Become budding scientists: Develop key scientific inquiry skills through observation, experimentation, and data recording.

C. Design and create a thriving mini-ecosystem: Apply their knowledge to design and build a suitable habitat for their Isopod friends.
